Cherrity Ricks has served on the KCSHRM Board of Directors for over five years. She is currently the President for the board. She has served as President Elect, Symposium Chair and Vice Chair of the Symposium previously. Cherrity has worked in Human Resources for over twelve years. She currently is a Compensation Manager for Western Management Group.
Prior to working for WMG, Cherrity has held several HR positions in beer distribution, oil and gas and consulting. Cherrity has expertise in recruitment, employee relations, training and development, digital analytics and compensation. Cherrity holds a BA in Psychology from California State University, Bakersfield and a MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Jose State.
She is a mentor for CSUB students through the Runner Alumni Program and tries to give back to her community whenever she is able to do so. She is certified as a SHRM-SCP and SPHR. Cherrity was nominated for 2023 Bakersfield Young Professional by the Bakersfield Chamber. Cherrity has a passion for leading change and inspiring others to do the same.
