Cynthia Moreno has worked in the Human Resources field since 2011. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from California State University, Bakersfield. Shortly after graduating, she joined Jim’s Supply Company Inc. in the Human Resources Department, where she gained broad experience in payroll, labor relations, employee benefits, compensation, recruitment, compliance, organizational structure, employee training and development, safety, Department of Transportation, and marketing.

In 2017, the company transitioned into Jim’s Steel Supply, LLC, where Cynthia now serves as Human Resources Manager. With over 14 years of HR experience, she has also expanded her skills to support other departments, contributing to the company’s growth by taking on responsibilities in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, IT, and Marketing.

Cynthia began volunteering with Kern County SHRM in 2022, serving as marketing support for the 25th Annual Conference. She was elected as Director of Communications & Marketing in 2023 and has proudly served in this role for three years. In addition, she has supported the conference directors as Sub-Captain of Marketing for the 26th (2023), 27th (2024), and 28th (2025) Annual Kern County SHRM Conferences.

As Cynthia continues to grow in her professional career, her goal is to support Kern County SHRM in doing the same. Outside of work and volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, and traveling.
